Despite it being the smallest room in my house, the kitchen is where I probably spend the most time, cooking, singing, dancing, drink coffee wondering why I allowed myself to become an adult, you know, the usual! So After much deliberation and tactful force from friends and family I started an instagram page for food, I felt the need for a wordier counter part where I could offer some wisdom, advice or mad woman ramblings about what I’ve been cooking and general kitchen nonsense!
At the time of writing this, the world is upside down! 2020 has been a year of all manner of ups and downs. At the present moment most of the world is in lockdown due to a virus, we must keep 2 metres apart from each other when out in public with masks and gloves being donned by most of the public. People haven’t seen friends or family in physical presence for over a month but the one thing the nation has united on, other than sudden and necessary appreciation of the NHS, is food. Families are baking together and children are in kitchens creating and getting involved in their dinners, and that can’t be a bad thing.
In the midst of all the madness I am currently at home most of the week as my shifts have had to move around somewhat in light of the fact apparently now I’m homeschooling my kids (oh joy!) so will devote some time to get some recipes written down. So hopefully you will see something you fancy cooking and eating on my page!
Wish me luck, and be patient, I’ve got some cooking to do!
